Description:

Described in Yachting World as ingenious, the Berwick design continued the immensely successful Giles/Westerly theme of good solid spacious cruisers and the 31 was indeed big enough to provide good accommodation without becoming (by the then standards) too boxy looking. She had the weight and capacity to stay at sea for long extended passages and can be motor-sailed effectively. In the 1970’s and early 80’s there were few production yachts to equal the Westerly Berwick in terms of accommodation and performance. 'Destiny' has had a complete below decks refit in 2016 including many new fittings and fixtures. The hanging lockers have been lined with carpet as have all on the upper lockers. She is a very well-appointed and sturdy cruiser which has had her bottom professionally epoxy treated in 2018 and also a survey completed in the same year with all reccommendations carried out.
