Description

Accommodation

The three cabin layout offers up to eight berths with three double berths outside the saloon and excellent headroom.

FORWARD CABIN: A well proportioned cabin fitted with a large double berth, large hanging locker, eye level lockers, opening hatch to foredeck and en-suite access to heads compartment.

HEADS: Separate compartment forward to starboard with marine toilet (to 75L holding tank), shower, washbasin and storage. Access from both saloon and forward cabin.

SALOON: Consisting of settee berths either side of a large central table with a single folding leaf and excellent stowage in various lockers and cupboards. Plenty of natural light and ventilation is provided by four large opening side windows and a central hatch. 

GALLEY: L-shaped galley to port equipped with a gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with oven, microwave oven, twin stainless steel sinks, large fridge and generous stowage in various drawers and cupboards.

NAVIGATION STATION: Forward facing chart table to starboard with electrical distribution panel, heater controls and useful storage.

AFT CABINS: Separate aft cabins to port and starboard, each fitted with a double berth, opening portlight to deck plus opening light to cockpit, seat, hanging locker and storage. Good access to engine compartment.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Pressurised hot and cold water system via a calorifier with immersion coil and 210 litre tank. Hot and cold cockpit shower. Holding tank with overboard and deck discharge facilities. Diesel fired warm air heating system to all cabins and heads. Excellent ventilation throughout is provided by numerous opening hatches and portlights. Teak and holly sole boards, blue corduroy upholstery, curtains throughout, radio/CD player and TV with DVD.

Mechanical Systems

Located beneath companionway, 2004 Volvo Penta D1-30 three cylinder 30hp marine diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever controls with electric start. 150 litre fuel tank. Volvo Penta sail drive to Gori folding 2-bladed propeller. Last serviced in April 2021. The sail drive diaphragm age is unknown, so it must be assumed this needs to be replaced. Engine hours unknown.

 

Electrical Systems

3 x 12v batteries (2 x 150ah domestic new 2021, 1 x 75ah engine start new 2019) charged via engine alternator and shore power charger. Complete shore power system with ring mains, battery charger and immersion coil for water heating. Inverter. Electrical distribution panel with an integrated meter. Full cabin lighting.

Sails and Spars

Sloop rig. 2004, Selden aluminium, double swept spreader, mast and boom. Selden gas kicker. Spinnaker halyard. Stainless steel standing rigging, 2004 with backstay tensioner. Terylene running rigging. In-mast reefing mainsail. Furlex headsail furling system. 2 x Harken 40 self-tailing sheet winches. Harken 16 self-tailing halyard winch.

Construction

Bavaria 37 Cruiser built in 2004 by Bavaria Yachts to a design by J & J Design, achieving RCD Category A. White GRP hull with blue style stripes, superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Hull copper coated. Cast iron tandem shoal keel. Wheel steering to spade hung rudder. Teak laid cockpit seats. Self draining cockpit with removable seat to sugar scoop transom. Last surveyed in 2012 when her current owner purchased. Only two owners from new.
